Science behind the process
- Is it an aerobic, anaerobic or anoxic process? Could you briefly describe the process?
- Is this an endothermic process; How is heat supplied to it? What is the energy cost of this?
- What degree of stabilisation of the final product is achieved? (Rottegrade level, C:N ratio etc.)
- How is the sanitisation of the final product ensured? Is the current European legislation on the treatment of animal waste unfit for human consumption followed?
- What is the typical analytical characterisation of Humisoil generated from food waste? N, P, K content, C:N ratio, pH etc.
- Is there any control of the process variables during the treatment (temperature, humidity, available oxygen etc.)?
- What is the product conversion ratio (mass of input product/ mass of final product)?
Economics
- Could you please give us an overview of a list of the plants built and the capacity of each one?
- Is it technologically possible to build a plant in which part of the waste is used to produce the catalyst liquid, and another part of the waste is treated using this liquid? In such a way that the plant can operate autonomously, without the need to purchase the catalytic converter.
- Could you provide a range of CAPEX and OPEX in (USD/t of input)?
- What is the largest treatment plant you have (not including off-site facilities)?
- What is considered an average plant size? Can you give us an example of a specific plant of a specific capacity?
